We are recruiting: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. You will work on a busy construction site. You should have: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance The role involves top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. £2,750 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift.
