Great opportunity: we are hiring a TIG welder in Crisp County, Georgia. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection 6+ years on the tools preferred.
