Falsework carpenter — Rensselaer County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a falsework carpenter in Rensselaer County, New York. On a typical shift you will erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $25 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
