We are recruiting: brick and block layer (Florida)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Jackson County, Florida. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. You will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage 1+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
