Immediate opening: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Linn County, Iowa. Day to day you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
