Steel fixer — Cass County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixer in Cass County, Michigan. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. On the job you will handle: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
