Vacancy available: we are hiring an oven operator in Derby, England. The job is at a cake shop. Day-to-day duties: • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing Requirements: • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
