Gang bricklayer — Mitchell County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Mitchell County, Iowa. The role involves brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb. What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
