Bricklayer — Manchester

Join our team: we are hiring a bricklayer in Manchester, England. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day-to-day duties: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
