We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Louisa County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Full-time with occasional weekends.
