Foundry worker wanted in Monroe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Monroe County, Alabama. You will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
