Great opportunity: panel welder (Edo)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a panel welder in Ovia North-East, Edo. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Day-to-day duties: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
