Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigger in Decatur County, Kansas. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles The role involves: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
