Bar bender and fixer — Bedford County

Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Bedford County, Virginia. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day to day you will bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling 2+ years on the tools preferred.
