The role involves: • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
