UPVC welding machine operator — Lancaster County

Now hiring: we are hiring an uPVC welding machine operator in Lancaster County, Virginia. You will work in the profile cutting and welding bay. Ideal candidate: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres Day-to-day duties: • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
