Immediate opening: we are hiring a pressman in Douglas County, South Dakota. You will work in a garment export house. Your main tasks: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing You should have: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
