Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe operator in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska. You will work in a packaging factory. What we are looking for: • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills Your main tasks: • Segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches • Top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station • Follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
