Head baker wanted in Alameda County

Now hiring: we are hiring a head baker in Alameda County, California. The job is in a hotel pastry kitchen. Day-to-day duties: • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough You should have: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Food handler / hygiene certificate Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
