Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Rowan County, North Carolina. The job is in a tool room. Day to day you will load and index turning tools in the turret; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); write and edit G-code programs at the control. You should have: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges Overtime paid at a premium rate.
