We are recruiting: we are hiring a cnc turner in Reading, England. You will be based in a tool room. Day to day you will check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; load and index turning tools in the turret; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
