Carpenter — Ness County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a carpenter in Ness County, Kansas. Day to day you will finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
