Brickwork mason wanted in Socorro County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Socorro County, New Mexico. The job is on a busy housing site. The role involves: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Rotating shifts.
