Immediate opening: crawler crane operator (Texas)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Chambers County, Texas. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. Day-to-day duties: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure You should have: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Understanding of hand and radio signals At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
