Bakery assistant • Island County, Washington

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Island County, Washington. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. You will load and unload the deck oven with a peel; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; score the top of loaves before baking; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
