Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Kane County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent.
