We are recruiting: core maker (Lagos State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Alimosho, Lagos State. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
