Immediate opening: roofing technician (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a roofing technician in Redcar and Cleveland, England. You will be based at a busy roofing firm. What we are looking for: • A good head for heights and steady balance • Working-at-height or scaffold safety certificate • Confident working at height on ladders and scaffolds On the job you will handle: • Nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses • Install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights • Seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing • Erect and dismantle roof edge protection and scaffolding • Lay underlayment and tar paper before tiling • Set out battens to the correct gauge and spacing Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
