Tailor machinist — Calhoun County

Now hiring: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Calhoun County, Mississippi. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory The role involves clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
