Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Arkansas County, Arkansas. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
