Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Washington County, Oklahoma. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills Full-time, day shift.
