Immediate opening: carpenter (Iowa)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a carpenter in Wapello County, Iowa. You will cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish. Requirements: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience • Own basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
