Day to day you will strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains. You should have: • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench Performance bonus on top of base pay.
