Vacancy available: ladle pourer (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Anderson County, Kansas. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 6+ years on the tools preferred.
