Pipe tig welder — Cheatham County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Cheatham County, Tennessee. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Own basic hand tools and PPE $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
