Now hiring: restoration bricklayer (Texas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in San Jacinto County, Texas. You will be based at a residential building site. The role involves brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks 3+ years on the tools preferred.
