Immediate opening: we are hiring a confectioner in Somervell County, Texas. You will be based in a bread factory. You should have: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics On the job you will handle: • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
