Overlocker operator — Callahan County

Now hiring: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Callahan County, Texas. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. Day-to-day duties: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching What we are looking for: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
