Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Day to day you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool.
