Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator in Bath County, Virginia. The job is on a pipeline and trenching crew. The role involves keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter. Ideal candidate: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) 2+ years on the tools preferred. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
