Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ford County, Illinois. The role involves: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
