Now hiring: we are hiring a cement mason in La Plata County, Colorado. You will be based at an infrastructure site. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules The role involves: • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors 1+ years on the tools preferred. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
