Canteen cook — Jo Daviess County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a canteen cook in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. You will work in a catering banquet kitchen. Day to day you will monitor food temperatures and run regular HACCP checks; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service; knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha. What we are looking for: • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
