Overlocker operator — East Feliciana Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. The role involves change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line 1+ years on the tools preferred.
