Urgent requirement: we are hiring a cnc setter-operator in McDowell County, North Carolina. The job is in a job-work machining unit. The role involves: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles You should have: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
