CNC programmer-operator — Cambridgeshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring a CNC programmer-operator in Cambridgeshire, England. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Day-to-day duties: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer £14 per hour plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
