You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading Day-to-day duties: • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation 4+ years on the tools preferred.
