Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundworker in Brooks County, Texas. The job is on a high-rise construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel Ideal candidate: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
