Gantry crane operator — Edmunds County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Edmunds County, South Dakota. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Day-to-day duties: • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
