Join our team: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Franklin County, Iowa. The job is in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. Day to day you will follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; work out the load weight and the lifting radius. Ideal candidate: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Current medical and eyesight certificate Full-time with occasional weekends.
